Catherine Canac-Marquis (b.1988) is a photographer and visual artist living and working in Montreal. Her photographic practice is centered on portraiture and landscape, focusing on the study of isolated geographical spaces and communities. She's interested in the particularity of islands and human development as an insular experience, and how this geographical context influences both people’s behaviors and experiences. Her artistic process often involves a travel-based approach.
